Hotel Chateau Chamonix Georgetown, Georgetown

My stay at the hotel was a mix of positives and negatives. The rooms, while comfortable, lacked the desired view and could get noisy. The service, however, was exceptional, with attentive staff making sure I had a pleasant experience. The location, although convenient for accessing ski areas, was a bit chaotic amidst unrelated buildings. Dining options were surprising but hit the mark. Overall, a decent stay with some room for improvement.

The location, despite being commercial-looking from the highway, is convenient for accessing various ski resorts.

I absolutely loved my stay at Chateau Chamonix. The rooms were like a sauna paradise with beautiful deep-colored wood, lovely faux finish walls, and charming details like embroidered pillow shams and hand-painted ceramics. The walk-in shower was top-notch, adding to the delightful experience. However, the dining experience was somewhat basic, and the location seemed a bit commercial at first glance. Yet, being conveniently located close to multiple ski resorts and next to a creek really made up for it.

It felt like stepping into the lavish estate of a European gentry, with clean rooms and cozy robes provided, though my room was unexpectedly changed from a charming creek side one on the 2nd floor to a first-floor room overlooking the creek. The hotel's location, while offering a serene atmosphere, is contrasted by the somewhat unattractive surroundings. Despite this, the service was exceptional, ensuring safety with designated doors and contactless check-in. The dining experience was delightful, serving delectable croissants and fresh orange juice perfect for a romantic couple's morning getaway.

The small kitchen area with a microwave, coffee maker, and fridge made me feel at home. However, the view of the unappealing scramble of buildings nearby was a minor downside.
